Tragic Death of Teenager at Nizhyn Railway Station: Electric Shock and Critical Injuries
In the city of Nizhyn, located in the Chernihiv region, a tragic incident has shocked the local community and highlighted the importance of safety at railway stations. According to rescue services, a 15-year-old boy lost his life after being electrocuted on the premises of the railway station, while a fellow girl sustained severe injuries and remains in intensive care. The State Emergency Service (SESU) reports that the incident occurred when the teenagers climbed onto the roof of a carriage parked on the station tracks. Unexpectedly, they came into contact with live electrical wires, resulting in a fatal electric shock for the boy and serious injuries for the girl. Emergency responders acted swiftly, removing the victims from the train and transferring them to medical staff.
