On the night of Saturday, July 5, the Dnipropetrovsk region found itself at the center of intense hostilities as Russian forces launched a series of missile and drone attacks across its territory. The strikes resulted in extensive damage to civilian infrastructure and caused injuries among local residents. According to the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, air defense systems successfully intercepted over five enemy drones flying overhead; however, fragments of downed drones still caused harm and destruction. Two women and a man sustained injuries and are currently receiving outpatient treatment. The attack led to the destruction of five summer cottages and damage to private homes in the region. Particularly affected was the Dnipro district, where debris fell, injuring three individuals and damaging several civilian facilities, including farms, private houses, a hairdresser, and vehicles. The situation in Nikopol district was also tense, with the enemy targeting the district center, Miriivska, Marganetska, and Pokrovsk communities. A man was wounded here and is under outpatient care, while multiple buildings and infrastructure objects suffered damage. Another targeted area was the Synelnykove district, where drones caused fires and inflicted significant damage to agricultural land and vehicles. Wheat fields caught fire as a result of these strikes. These events further demonstrate that Russian troops aim to maximize destruction of civilian objects and infrastructure, thereby destabilizing life in the region and sowing fear among residents.
