In mid-July, Ukraine’s Armed Forces carried out a powerful strike against Russian military command posts for the second time within a week, significantly reducing their operational capacity and ability to plan further military actions. This ongoing effort highlights the resilience and combat readiness of Ukraine’s armed forces amid their confrontation with the aggressor. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, on July 3, Ukrainian defenders targeted the command post of the 8th General Army of the Russian Federation, located in temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region. Additionally, the strike also hit the command post of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces, also situated on occupied lands. Military sources indicate that enemy losses are still being clarified, but it is already clear that these strikes substantially weaken the enemy’s ability to coordinate their activities and conduct active combat operations in the region. Officials from the General Staff emphasize that these actions by Ukrainian forces notably diminish risks for civilian populations and contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, while also reinforcing its diplomatic position on the international stage.
