Weather Outlook in Ukraine: Heatwave, Short-term Showers, and Hail Risks Expected in the Coming Days
Over the coming days, Ukraine will experience high temperatures accompanied by typical summer weather phenomena. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, towards the end of the week, the southern regions will continue to face intense heat, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C in some areas. Concurrently, short-term showers, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are forecasted, especially in the western, northern, and Vinnytsia regions. On Thursday, Kyiv is expected to see brief rains at night with lows around 18-20°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to 30-32°C. On Friday, central and northern areas, as well as eastern and southeastern parts, may experience sporadic rain, thunderstorms, and wind gusts of 15-20 m/s. Other regions are likely to remain dry but will endure high temperatures—between 28 and 33°C. Saturday in Kyiv calls for brief rainfall, and temperatures will drop slightly to 24-26°C. On Sunday, no precipitation is forecasted, with temperatures soaring up to +30°C, and winds weakening. Ukrainians are advised to stay alert for weather disturbances, especially thunderstorms and hail, and to follow safety guidelines issued by meteorologists.
