US State Department Clarifies That Military Support to Ukraine Has Not Been Halted; Recent Measures Are Limited to Specific Cases
During a recent press briefing, State Department spokesperson Temmie Bruce sought to dispel any doubts regarding the status of US military aid to Ukraine. She emphasized that the United States has not significantly suspended arms deliveries to our country, and explicitly clarified that the decision made by the Pentagon the day before pertains only to a specific situation, not to the overall support policy for Ukraine. Bruce explained that this step should be viewed as one of many options and measures available in the context of military assistance, and it does not imply a halt or reduction of aid in general. Responding to questions about whether the temporary suspension of supplies might hinder diplomatic negotiations with Russia, the spokesperson stressed that such issues should not become obstacles to peace efforts. She remarked, ‘That is a very good question, but it’s fortunate that it will not be a factor, as we have not stopped providing military support to Ukraine. This is just one incident, one situation that has changed. According to the Defense Ministry, there are many other reliable options and efforts regarding Ukraine’s armament in the context of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.’
