The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has decided to keep Oleksiy Chernyshov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity, in his position, refusing to grant a temporary suspension from his duties. Investigators from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau had urged the court to suspend Chernyshov, citing suspicions of involvement in corruption schemes, but the court declined to comply with these petitions. This decision has once again sparked discussions concerning the transparency and independence of Ukraine’s anti-corruption system, as well as raising questions about internal policies and strategies in the country's anti-corruption efforts. Official sources report that the hearings proceeded as usual, and the final verdict was made after a comprehensive analysis of Chernyshov’s safety, rights, and obligations under current Ukrainian legislation.
