Russian Forces Launch Attacks on Donetsk Region: Casualties and Civilian Infrastructure Damaged
On July 2, the Donetsk region once again came under fire from Russian troops, resulting in tragic human losses and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. According to Vadym Filaushkin, head of the Donetsk military administration, the hardest-hit area was Pokrovsk, where two men lost their lives due to shelling, and a woman was injured. Additionally, several people were wounded while traveling on the road between Pokrovsk and Rodynske. The city of Druzkhivka was also targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles, which caused damage to at least four private houses and injured three individuals. Filaushkin emphasized that Russian forces are consistently and intentionally targeting civilians, highlighting the ongoing danger of staying in the region. He called on residents to evacuate, stressing that safety and life preservation are now paramount given the unpredictable and perilous situation in the area.
