Ukrainian Woman Injured in Serious Bus Accident in Romania: Details and Implications
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reported that a Ukrainian citizen was injured in a serious road accident that occurred near the Romanian city of Bacău. According to the ministry, the incident took place in northeastern Romania and involved a passenger bus operated by a Ukrainian carrier, with approximately 60 Ukrainian passengers on board. The collision with a Romanian minibus resulted in the death of one Romanian citizen and injuries of varying severity to three others, including a Ukrainian woman. The injured Ukrainian woman was provided with immediate medical assistance at the scene and did not require hospitalization. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the accident, and Romanian law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation. The Ukrainian bus drivers have been questioned as witnesses, and the transportation company supplied an alternative vehicle so the passengers could continue their journey. Additionally, last week near the city of Constanța, a similar incident occurred when a bus traveling from Odesa overturned, injuring four people.
