Russia Launches 107 Drones in Attacks on Ukraine: 15 Strikes and 64 Downed UAVs
In the night of June 29, Ukrainian forces observed a large-scale aerial attack by Russia, involving a record number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, the enemy launched 107 drones of the Shahed type and various imitators aimed at our country. Despite Ukrainian defenders successfully intercepting 64 of these drones, 15 managed to strike their targets, causing significant damage. The air defense and electronic warfare systems effectively neutralized most of the targets across northern, eastern, and southern regions of Ukraine. It is reported that the attacks were launched from Russian cities such as Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and from the occupied Crimean territories, including Gvardeyskoye. The main zones of impact were Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, where intense fighting persists. Ukrainian forces responded with aviation, air defense units, and mobile fire groups, successfully repelling the assaults and destroying part of the enemy’s UAVs, thus playing a crucial role in defending the country. Details: Anti-aircraft crews and specialized units established interception systems to minimize damage and ensure rapid response to new enemy attacks, demonstrating the high combat readiness of Ukraine’s defenders amid the current complex military situation.
