The city of Lebedyn in the Sumy region experienced yet another hostile assault involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), resulting in damage to infrastructure and injuries to two local residents. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, when Russian drones launched an attack on the city, causing extensive destruction and panic among the population. According to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, around 10:30 a.m., during the attack, three drones were activated. One of them either failed to detonate or fell apart, while the other two hit their targets, damaging two administrative buildings and twelve private homes. As a result of the shelling, a local couple — a 36-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman — received injuries. Both sought medical help independently; the man was discharged after examination, while the woman remains under medical supervision with a stable condition. Notably, one of the drones struck a balcony of a multi-story building in the Kono-top community district, though residents were unharmed. Additionally, some infrastructure was damaged, including a village where over 600 consumers were left without electricity following an attack. Authorities emphasize that this is another example of increasing aggression by Russian invaders, who systematically target civilian infrastructure in an effort to sow fear and despair among Ukrainians.
