This information was confirmed by Vadym Filaшkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, through his official Telegram channel, providing details and the extent of destruction the region has suffered as a result of hostilities. According to him, on Tuesday, June 15, Russian troops carried out 21 attacks on settlements in Donetsk Oblast, which became the cause of unbearable grief for dozens of families. As a result of these attacks, three residents of Bahatyr were killed, two — in Pokrovsk, and one — in Kostiantynivka. In addition to the direct human losses, four other residents received injuries of varying severity and are currently undergoing treatment. The regional head additionally emphasized the extensive destruction caused by the shelling. According to him, within the day, a number of infrastructure objects were damaged: private and multi-storey buildings, several commercial facilities, two enterprises, a gas pipeline, warehouses, greenhouses, and equipment. These are not only material losses but also the loss of lives and the usual way of life for thousands of Donetsk residents who have long been living in a state of constant alert and destruction. Furthermore, Filaшkin reported that peaceful settlements have also suffered from enemy shelling. Specifically, the Russians carried out so-called “punitive shellings” in places of intimidation and destruction, which led to the evacuation of 194 residents, including 33 children. This not only speaks to human losses but also to the efforts of the authorities to save citizens in the difficult conditions of war. Photos from Vadym Filaшkin’s Telegram demonstrate the scale of destruction and losses the region has experienced during this short but extremely challenging period, including the aftermath of devastating shellings, damaged buildings, and infrastructural objects. The experience of another harsh episode of the war confirms that Donetsk remains one of the main conflict epicenters in eastern Ukraine, where each day is a fight for life, peace, and the return to peaceful living. Local residents and military personnel once again, with strategic resolve and enduring hardship, await new challenges and hope for an end to the war and the restoration of destroyed settlements.
