In Russia, they officially announced that the first steps have already been taken to organize the next meeting of Ukrainian and Russian delegations for negotiations
As reported by the head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul, Vladimir Medinsky, Moscow has made a concrete proposal regarding the date and place of the upcoming negotiations, as well as expressed readiness to exchange documents for further conflict resolution. Medinsky noted that a recent conversation with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov about the future negotiations took place in a constructive manner. According to him, Russia proposed that the Ukrainian side specify a specific time and place for exchanging memoranda, which is an important step forward in the negotiations. At the same time, a Ukrainian expert, quoted in relevant sources, reports that the Ukrainian side is currently "going to consult" regarding the accepted proposals, and Russia will wait for a response as quickly as possible in this process. This indicates a certain level of openness and readiness for further dialogue, although the process is still at an initial stage of coordination. In turn, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, confirmed that in Istanbul, an informal agreement was reached to directly exchange documents concerning the vision of a final settlement of the situation. She emphasized that the two sides no longer conduct broad negotiations through the mediation of other countries, including the USA, and that all issues regarding the exchange of draft memoranda will be resolved directly between Ukraine and Russia. Thus, the official Russian position emphasizes readiness for further dialogue and seeking a resolution to the conflict without the involvement of third parties. However, no specific date and place for the new negotiations have yet been announced, and according to Russian officials, the Ukrainian side has been offered to consider and discuss these issues in the near future. Internal consultations are ongoing in Kyiv, and it is possible that more details about further steps in the diplomatic confrontation, which currently keeps the world on edge and waiting, will become known later.
