He headed the Luhansk region from October 2019 to March 2023.

Before being appointed to the Luhansk region, he worked for a long time in Transcarpathia, so the president appointed him to head the Mukachevo district in Transcarpathia in 2024.

On August 3, Zelenskyy dismissed Serhiy Gaidai.

I would like to add that the president also signed an order dismissing the head of the Rubizhna MVA, Andriy Yurchenko.
