What Is Pugachova’s Interview Hiding? An Analysis of Key Points

Yanina Sokolova - 16 September 2025 13:21

And I would not keep silent about the fact that it would be better for me to leave. Of course, I knew how it could end, and Maxim would not have remained silent, because, Katya, there is such a concept as conscience. And conscience, Katya, it values the weak, it values luxury, it values everything, especially at my age.

The conscience of Alla Pugacheva, whom not only Russians have been so sincerely admiring in recent days. but also Ukrainians.

Is the Russian diva and her anti-war statements worth it? Spoiler from me: No, friends, today we will take a detailed, but brief look at this video. Please watch it to the end.

Don't forget to subscribe to our channel. Well, your opinion is important to us, so please write in the comments what you think, why Ukrainians are still so willing to drag Russian content into our information space. and Russian stars, and they encourage them with views and, accordingly, money.

Let's go, friends. The video begins eloquently with a disclaimer: what you are watching is not propaganda. Russian liberals, they are like liberals, but they are afraid that the Tsar's court will knock on their hats.

And let's move on to the statements of the Primadonna herself. This was the first interview Pugacheva has given in years. Russian opposition journalist Kateryna Gordieva recorded a conversation with her in Jurmala, Latvia.

The interview lasts for over 3 hours. In the 5 days since its publication, this interview has been viewed by more than 16 million people. And what is important and sad at the same time, many of these views were brought by Ukrainians.

What is important, gentlemen, is to immediately notice and cut it on your nose. Alla Pogacheva is Russian. She is not a Soviet diva, she is a Russian singer.

Pogacheva emphasizes her Russianness as her basic identity. And it rings true throughout the interview. It does not separate itself from the aggressor state, although currently Russia's victim is specifically Ukraine.

There is not even a hint of awareness in this statement that being a Russian today means bearing responsibility for the crimes of the regime and calling a spade a spade. Russia attacked Ukraine.

Russia is an aggressor country. I am such a Russian person, and at that time I could not imagine life without Russia. I just didn't imagine.

But now, as you can see, not only presenting, but implementing it. Everything that God does is for the best. I don't know how I would feel there now, and what it would be like with children.

And no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Pogacheva then speaks of Russia as a great country. who lacks only, I quote friends, generosity. This is typical imperial discourse.

Well, remember, this is a gesture of goodwill and all that. Russia is not seen as an aggressor that unleashed a war of aggression, but as a great power with small, seemingly minor problems. Such rhetoric downplays the scale of war crimes and reduces everything to a question of lack of generosity.

In every great time, no matter where you go, it is always great with us. Great. Sometimes by one, then by another. Our country is such a great state, which, however, lacks only one thing, this generosity.

A great state is generous. Then this is a great state. Well, God bless him. Next, friends, is the classic Russian narrative about fraternal peoples. Instead of directly naming the aggressor, Pogacheva speaks abstractly: "War with brothers." Do you consider yourself brothers of the Russians? Write in the comments.

This formulation, in our opinion, absolves Russia of responsibility. After all, it turns out that the war is a fratricidal tragedy, not a specific aggression by the Kremlin against Ukraine. This is especially dangerous for the Ukrainian audience because it legitimizes the idea of a single people, which Russia, as you know, uses to justify the occupation.

And Putin has said more than once in his speeches: "I do not divide Russia and Ukraine, we are one people." Well, purely imperial bullshit. Is that the reason why you never went to the front to sing? Listen, I'm a post-war child.

I know veterans who have been dead for a long time. And I know about the war, maybe more than the current generation. What is this and what is this nightmare.

But they are from their parents, they have always been silent. But when the veterans came, they tried not to talk about it. But I knew where they were talking.

They could talk about it in a cafe. This is just a disaster. And I never wanted it to happen again. Never.

I don't know who likes war. Probably no one. Especially when the war is, so to speak, with brothers. Then there is the suffering of war, which is unbearable.

Peace be in the world, everything is done. Pogacheva speaks the language of Soviet-Russian pacifism. Both ours and theirs are dying.

More precisely, she calls Ukraine the other side. It puts an equal sign between Russians and Ukrainians. Once again, friends, he avoids recognizing Russia as an aggressor.

Pogacheva suggests looking at the war as a senseless tragedy, not as a crime of aggression against Ukrainians, who are dying every day at the hands of Russia. And the goals of the war are important to me, you understand? Protect the family.

I'll be the first to run at least on crutches. And when I don't understand what's happening, and when I understand what's happening, it's also terrible, when people die both in our country and in other countries, it's unbearable. All the time I was thinking that yes, what is that, why? Well, what are we missing? But I understood that this is still characteristic of any power in the Soviet Union and in Russia it is pride.

And pride is a sin. This is terrible. Next, friends, about Putin. Pogacheva openly admits that she voted for Putin. She calls him an idol, although, of course, in the past.

She admires his words about Ukraine. that Russia would not wage war against us, which, as we now know, turned out to be a blatant lie. In general, why mention it, knowing that it was all a bluff? Thus, we will slightly retell the history of the image, the formation of the image of Putin himself.

After all, I thought for a long time, but Putin is not a stupid person, I know him. You even campaigned for him. Not what they campaigned for, I voted.

I was so delighted, I think, well, finally. What did you like? Well, first of all, he said amazingly correct things. Even about Ukraine, he asks what he said, that, well, he said that yes, there will never be a war between Russia and Ukraine.

He said what I thought. It's just an idol. I think, what a man, what a man. Of course, for me now Wait, it's considered that you understand people, but how come you didn't see anything in him? Did you see him there as me, he was giving you an order? Well, when the order was given, I already saw it. Well, yes, I waited for him for 3 hours and realized that something was wrong.

Joke. Be late, Vladimir Vladimirovich, be late. Just stop it already. I'm tired. And another important point, friends. In an interview, Pugacheva says that her country has also suffered.

Well, of course, where are the Ukrainians? He mentions his brothers again. True, Pogacheva later adds that Ukraine has also suffered and feels sorry for our country. Calls for negotiations, but a residue remains.

Everyone knows that I am against the war and I think that our country has suffered a lot. It's the second time, but I feel sorry for the first Ukraine, because it's hard to explain that some people don't want to live in a communal house, they want separate apartments. This is understood.

And when they say they want independence, that means everything. No, this is your brother. I have a brother who was independent too, please. I wanted to independently, please, help him in everything, even though it was unbearable.

He just came and shot at the ceiling. He was quite sick, of course, a man. I didn't help the children either. This is how people should act.

They must first of all speak, trade. They should smile. Another interesting episode of the interview is when Pogacheva talks about Kiriyenko. This is the deputy head of Putin's administration.

Pogacheva mentions him when she talks about her decision to leave Russia, which, Pogacheva says, was gradual. It was this Kiriyenko who asked to talk to her and urged her not to worry.

Pogacheva, according to her, even believed him. And literally two days after this conversation, Galkin's husband Pugacheva was recognized as a foreign agent. But at the same time, Pogacheva warmly remembers how she kissed him goodbye.

I say: "Well, wait, you would have warned at least that there is no freedom of speech already?" He says: "Don't worry, this is all, everything is normal, I heard everything, something is wrong." Something was hanging in the air. I even kissed him, said: "Bye, Seryozha." I knew that I was unlikely to meet him.

And I just had some kind of feeling, how suspicious, so pleasant and suspicious, that everything turns out so easily, that everything will be organized, looked at, stopped there, I don't know what. Live peacefully, you are our national pride there.

And he still speaks with sympathy and respect. And all this is about the person who is currently responsible for information support. aggression of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine.

So to sum up, friends, does the prima donna have a conscience? There is such a concept as conscience. And conscience, Katya, it values the weak, it values luxury, it values everything, especially at my age.

At the last minute, you will think about what you did and how you treated people. There, I don't know. No, it's conscience.

Don't cry. I am not crying. It is obvious that Alla Pogacheva has a conscience. At least more than other Russian stars. Should we, Ukrainians, admire her? But not here.

Absolutely. Alla Pogacheva certainly took a bold step when she left Russia and declared that she did not support the war. This is right and this is important.

But there is one big but, and I want to emphasize this. Alla Pogacheva does not call Russia an aggressor, does not cheer for Ukraine's victory, and does not consider herself involved in all the horror and murder that Russia is creating. From the point of view of collective responsibility, Alla Pogacheva speaks of fraternal peoples, emphasizes her Russianness, and even recalls people from the Kremlin system with admiration.

This creates an image of a comfortable person who can be used as a symbol of reconciliation. Think about this story more broadly. The biggest problem is not even in the interview itself, which, by the way, looks too controlled and staged, but in the fact that our Ukrainian audience is actively consuming it and subconsciously begins, friends, to identify themselves with those good Russians whom Pugacheva calls brothers.

Therefore, friends, let us remember that Pugacheva has always been part of the Russian system with all its idols, myths, and nostalgia for the great state. Here she is our situational partner and will remain an imperial Russian woman, no matter how beautiful and correct her individual words may seem.

What comparison can you find to make it clear? Well, this is Navalny's team, for example, and his wife Yulia. Initially, Navalny, you remember, said about Crimea that Crimea is not a sandwich to be thrown back and forth.

It's the same story. Well, now Yulia Navalny, on the day my video was recorded, made a tweet on social media, where she said that if Europe wants to take away tourist visas from Russians, then it's not good, because these are ordinary people. Why would they be offended? Due to the fact that this is the dictator, the king, they are not to blame for anything.

Russia's aggression is a collective responsibility. Let's remember this. As well as our collective responsibility to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Friends, in the description of this video you will find a link on the QR code screen.

This is the Third Army Corps, an electronic warfare unit. A pickup truck is badly needed. For what? In order to help the guys who are carrying out assault operations, expel the aggressor from our territory, and defend. How is the RP working to disrupt the drone operating system, the aggressor's drones? And in order to quickly get to a particular place and install this rap, you need a pickup truck.

Here is the boys' appeal. Glory to Ukraine! We are a separate electronic warfare company within the Third Army Corps, performing combat missions in the Kharkiv direction. Our goal is to cover units from enemy drones and reconnaissance assets.

We are asking Yanina Sokolova's followers to help us get a pickup truck. Your help, our mobility, safety and the ability to do our job effectively. Thank you for your faith in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
