Baltic States Enhance Support for Ukraine: New Security Measures and Military Aid

Chas Pravdy - 06 November 2025 03:30

The Baltic countries – Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania – are increasing their support for Ukraine amid ongoing security challenges.

On November 5, the governments of these nations agreed on implementing new strategies to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities and strengthen front-line security.

According to the Strategic Communications Center, Estonia is allocating €3 million to purchase and maintain Starlink satellite systems, ensuring stable communication for Ukrainian units on the frontline.

Latvia is transferring 21 Patria 6×6 infantry fighting vehicles along with machine guns, ammunition, spare parts, and a mobile repair workshop, aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s defensive capacity.

Additionally, the nations have outlined evacuation plans for hundreds of thousands of civilians in case of increased threats from Russia or military buildup near borders.

Lithuania has proposed assistance in natural gas supplies, while Ukraine commits to supporting the strengthening of Lithuania’s air defense systems in response to mounting regional threats.

There are also reports about potential large-scale evacuation preparations in the Baltic region, as tensions continue to escalate in the geopolitical landscape.
