U.S.

President Donald Trump recently shared his views on Russia’s foreign policy and its leader Vladimir Putin’s intentions in an interview.

According to Trump, the Russian president is keen to establish trade relations with the United States and profit from them, rather than preparing for war in Ukraine.

When asked whether it is easier to deal with Putin or Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Trump stated that both are very strong and influential leaders who should be treated with the utmost seriousness.

He emphasized that no need to underestimate their power, as they are tough and intelligent.

Trump also mentioned he opens the ‘red carpet for everyone’ and claimed that had he been president during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the conflict would not have started.

He called the war a ‘Joe Biden war,’ asserting that his predecessor’s administration was responsible for initiating it, and he inherited the conflict.

Trump recalled that he ‘resolved eight wars around the world’ during his presidency, using a strategy of threatening tariffs to stop conflicts, which often worked.

Regarding Ukraine, he explained that tariffs would not have helped Putin’s war because the U.S.

does not have significant business interests in Russia.

He added that he believes Putin aims to trade with America and earn substantial profits, which he considers a positive thing.
