Trump and Xi Jinping Discuss Ukraine War: Stalled Parties Consider Joint Actions
The recent meeting between former U.S.
President Donald Trump and China’s leader Xi Jinping marked one of the few high-level talks focused on the Ukrainian conflict.
During a brief yet significant conversation aboard Air Force One, as Trump returned home from his Asia tour, both leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine and prospects for cooperation.
According to Trump, they talked at length and concluded that both countries are stuck in their strategic struggles, and sometimes it’s best to allow time for processes to unfold naturally.
Trump reassured that Xi Jinping will continue assisting in this process and that their capabilities include supporting a peaceful resolution to the conflict through diplomacy and collaboration.
He emphasized, “We are working together to make some changes.
We agreed that both sides are stuck in their struggles, and sometimes you just have to wait and let things develop.
It’s crazy, but Xi Jinping will help us, and we will work on Ukraine.
There’s nothing more we can do at this point.” This unexpected yet important meeting has become a step in the dialogue between two major powers regarding Ukraine’s future.
Currently, the summit has concluded, and further details of the talks are being disclosed.
