According to information provided by international partners, the new U.S.

sanctions against the Russian energy giants “Rosneft” and “Lukoil” are significantly impacting Russia’s economy, potentially reducing its oil revenues by over $5 billion each month.

During a press conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that these measures are part of President Donald Trump’s active policy, who implemented the sanctions in response to Russia’s aggression.

He highlighted that the sanctions are quite effective, which is why they were personally initiated by the American leader, rather than through Congress.

Zelensky stated that these restrictions could drastically alter the situation in the oil market, with an estimated impact reducing Russian oil exports by roughly 50%.

In about a month, Ukrainian intelligence will have a clearer picture of the sanctions’ real consequences, as all data will be collected and analyzed.

The key now is to ensure strict enforcement of the restrictions, including physically sanctioning crews and verifying tanker routes.

Zelensky called for active monitoring, including document checks, and sanctions against captains and crews who violate rules.

Recent reports confirm that the stocks of the largest Russian oil companies on the Moscow stock exchange have fallen by over 400 billion rubles (about $5.2 billion) in just two days, indicating a significant blow to Russia’s economy, which has long been famed for its oil industry.

Meanwhile, Europe and America are intensifying sanctions to limit Russia’s income from oil exports.

Experts warn of potential global energy security risks and impacts on the global oil market.

In summary, analysts regard these measures as a preventive step to weaken Putin’s profits and increase pressure for Russia to cease military actions.
