German Foreign Minister Warns: This Winter Could Define the Course of Ukraine’s War
Germany’s Foreign Minister, Johann Wadhful, has issued a stark warning to Western allies regarding the upcoming winter, emphasizing its potential to be a decisive period in Ukraine’s ongoing conflict.
According to Wadhful, this season could shape the future of Ukraine’s defense and sovereignty, making it imperative for Western nations to provide unwavering and robust support.
He stressed that Ukraine must remain capable of defending itself during this critical time, as the decisions made now by international partners will influence the outcome of the war.
Wadhful also reassured that Germany is prepared to support Ukraine at any stage.
Additionally, he expressed confidence that the European Union summit in December will reach agreements on utilizing frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine.
While acknowledging the complexity of this legal mechanism, he pointed out that the previous EU summit did not make a final decision, but with the presentation of appropriate proposals by the European Commission, a resolution could be reached by December.
The EU has confirmed that the issue of using frozen Russian assets remains a key agenda item, with a final decision expected by the end of this year, considering all legal and financial implications.
