Russia reports large-scale drone attack involving nearly 200 drones, some targeting Moscow
According to the latest reports from Russian military authorities, a massive drone attack took place overnight, involving almost 200 unmanned aerial vehicles.
Over 30 of these drones were aimed directly at the country’s capital — Moscow.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 193 Ukrainian drones, with 34 of them directed specifically at Moscow.
More detailed information indicates that 47 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, 42 over Kaluga, and 40 over the Moscow region, including 34 UAVs specifically headed to the capital.
Additionally, 32 drones were destroyed over the Tula region, 10 over Kursk, and 7 over Oryol.
Furthermore, 4 drones were downed in Rostov and Voronezh regions, and 2 each in Orenburg and Tambov regions.
One drone was also shot down in Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Samara regions.
This large-scale attack underscores increased hostilities and efforts to destabilize security across various regions of Russia, particularly in the center and the capital.
