Sikorski hopes Madjar will disable the Druzhba pipeline, igniting a geopolitical energy showdown

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski publicly expressed his hope that drone commander Robert ‘Madjar’ Brodi would manage to disable the crucial Druzhba oil pipeline, which supplies Russian oil to Hungary.

Sikorski indicated on social media that such sabotage could prompt Budapest to shift its oil supplies through Croatia.

Responding to Sikorski’s statement, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó criticized Poland’s stance, emphasizing that Hungary ignores alternative routes and continues to fund Moscow.

Earlier, Sikorski suggested that an independent Polish court could arrest Vladimir Putin if he enters Polish airspace, a remark that drew sharp rebuke from Budapest.

Szijjártó mocked Poland’s judiciary for allegedly refusing to extradite individuals related to sabotage of Russian infrastructure, framing it as a defense of national interests.

Meanwhile, Poland refused to extradite Ukrainian citizen Volodymyr Z., suspected of involvement in the Nord Stream explosions.

German diplomatic authorities expressed respect for Poland’s decision.

Media reports indicate that the EU plans to cut off Russian oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline, escalating the geopolitical energy conflict.
