During a crucial meeting of the European Union Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg, 25 member states reaffirmed their commitment and support for the creation of a special international tribunal dedicated to investigating and prosecuting crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine.

This step marks a significant move toward justice and international accountability.

An allocation of 10 million euros has already been made to fund the tribunal’s establishment, demonstrating the solidarity and serious intent of European countries.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Kalug, emphasized that all 25 member states have officially committed to participating in this tribunal, bringing it closer to operational readiness.

The initiative underscores the responsibility of Putin’s regime for initiating the war and committing numerous atrocities.

Kalug also highlighted that Ukraine must retain its territories and should not make concessions, especially after U.S.

President Donald Trump’s comments urging Kyiv to cede parts of its land to end the conflict.

She stressed that the only venue for holding Putin accountable within Europe is The Hague tribunal, bringing justice closer for Ukraine.
