Fighting in Kostiantynivka: enemy suffers losses and adjusts tactics amid decreasing attack intensity
The city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region continues to experience active hostilities, yet the intensity of attacks by Russian forces has significantly decreased.
According to the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade ‘Cold Yar’, responsible for defending this area, the enemy has been forced to change its tactics due to substantial losses and successful resistance by Ukrainian defenders.
Sergeant Vitaliy Pyasetskyi from the brigade noted that a few months ago, the Russians were actively storming the city, using mechanized columns and losing up to 20 soldiers daily.
Currently, their casualties have dropped below ten per day, indicating fatigue and re-evaluation of their strategy.
After unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses, the enemy shifted to smaller groups, mostly moving on foot or motorcycles, complicating detection within the city.
Military analysts report that Kostiantynivka is the next target for the Russians after Pokrovsk and Myrnograd.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in the city is rapidly deteriorating.
Ongoing shelling has left the city without electricity, heating, and water.
Residents are forced to live without communication and medical aid, cooking on open fires and storing resources in basements.
They are exhausted and fearful of further strikes, but Ukrainian soldiers of the 93rd Brigade continue holding the line, preventing the enemy from securing the city and advancing further.
The situation on the Pokrovsk direction remains critically tense: due to fog, Russian troops are advancing with equipment and engaging in intense fighting, conducting up to 100 assault operations per day.
The overall scenario remains tense and unstable, but Ukrainian forces demonstrate incredible resilience under harsh conditions.
