Escalation in Kherson Region: Casualties and Damage from Russian Shelling
In the past day, the situation in the Kherson region has significantly worsened due to increased military actions by Russian forces.
Targeted artillery strikes, including those using multiple launch systems and drones, have resulted in civilian casualties.
According to the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office, by the evening of November 7, the number of civilian victims increased to two deaths and six injuries.
All casualties suffered severe or life-threatening injuries as a result of the ruthless attacks by Russian troops.
The region has experienced shelling with artillery and drones that damaged private and multi-apartment buildings, healthcare facilities, garages, and vehicles.
Specifically, in Kherson city, three civilians were injured, one in Bilozerka, and two in Novovorontsovka.
The attacks have caused extensive damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.
As stated by the head of the Kherson Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, a missile strike in the Dnipro district of the city resulted in the death of a 53-year-old man with severe injuries incompatible with life.
The ongoing violence highlights the urgent need for increased security measures and international support to halt this destructive humanitarian crisis.
