Ukrainian forces achieve tactical gains near Pokrovsk but face ongoing Russian fire
According to the latest reports from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian defenders have achieved certain tactical successes in the Donetsk region, particularly around Bopropolye, where they have advanced northeast and southeast of Shakhove and east of Bopropolye.
Geolocation video evidence confirms that Ukrainian units are currently holding strategic positions in areas where Russian sources previously claimed their troops were present.
Meanwhile, near Pokrovsk, the situation has worsened: Russian forces have advanced into the western part of Rodinske, and also in the northeast and southeast sectors of the city.
The Ukrainian General Staff reports that over the past day, Russian forces attempted about 93 attacks seeking to break through Ukrainian defenses, targeting settlements including Mayak, Nikanorivka, Fedorivka, Chervony Lyman, Myrolubivka, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Zvirove, Novopavlivka, Kotline, Udačne, Novoserhiivka, Muravka, Filya, and Yalta.
Additionally, they conducted operations to regain control in the center of Pokrovsk, where Ukrainian troops liberated the city hall building and raised the national flag.
