Azerbaijan’s Army Transitions to NATO Standards: A New Step in National Security
As part of ongoing reforms, Azerbaijan’s armed forces are undergoing a significant transformation to align with NATO standards, aiming to strengthen national defense and integrate the country’s military system into Euro-Atlantic security structures.
President Ilham Aliyev, during a recent meeting with the NATO delegation on November 6, emphasized the importance of close cooperation and the seamless modernization of military units.
He noted that Azerbaijani troops have already begun working closely with Turkish counterparts to implement new standards and boost combat readiness.
The president also highlighted that this process is part of the country’s strategic vision to regain historic lands and affirm independent sovereignty, achieved over a century ago.
He assured that military modernization will continue to meet contemporary challenges and ensure national security.
