Ukrainian General Staff reports active defense of Pokrovsk without envelopment of enemy forces
According to the latest reports from the Ukrainian General Staff, the situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd agglomeration remains tense but under Ukrainian control.
Military officials confirmed that the defense of the city is ongoing without a formal encirclement of the enemy, despite active enemy efforts and infiltration attempts in the region.
Ukrainian units are conducting targeted strike and search operations, involving assault groups, security system operators, assembled brigades, and internal security forces.
In the past day, they eliminated at least 26 occupiers and wounded another 64, destroying or damaging over 50 enemy shelters in the city and surrounding areas.
Furthermore, Russian troop losses on this front over the week amount to approximately 250 personnel, more than 7 UAVs, various vehicles, tanks, and armored equipment.
Special attention is given to fortifying flanks and securing logistics routes, which are critical for maintaining defensive strength.
The operational efforts also include the ongoing Dobropilskaya operation, where Ukrainian assault units have advanced between 100 and 700 meters in different directions.
Since the start of the operation on November 5, 2025, Ukrainian forces have liberated over 188 square kilometers and cleared another 250 square kilometers of insurgent activity.
President Volodymyr Zelensky previously stated that nearly a third of recent combat days—and 50% of Russian army’s tactical airstrikes—are concentrated in Pokrovsk, where enemy forces are deploying significant resources.
