Ukrainian General Staff Confirms Strikes on Strategic Russian Infrastructure in Kherson and Bashkortostan

Chas Pravdy - 05 November 2025 00:45

Following targeted operations aimed at degrading the military and economic capabilities of the aggressor country, the Ukrainian General Staff has officially confirmed strikes on critical infrastructure objects within Russia and occupied territories of Ukraine.

On the night of November 4, Ukrainian armed forces launched renewed attacks against the enemy’s energy and oil facilities, focusing on key industrial enterprises that sustain the aggressor regime’s operations.

Notably, strikes were registered at the Kstovo refinery of LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

This plant processes approximately 18 million tons annually and plays a vital role in supplying fuel to Russian occupation forces.

Additionally, Ukrainian defenders targeted an oil refining facility in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan, which is a major producer of high-quality aviation fuel used in Russian military aviation.

Preliminary reports suggest significant damage to one of the plant’s workshops, with detailed assessments ongoing.

The Ukrainian command also reaffirmed previous strikes on the temporarily occupied Kherson region, where Russian military fuel depots have been hit.

It is estimated that about 20 reservoirs with a total capacity of around 900 m³, along with two pumping stations, were destroyed.

The Ukrainian military emphasizes their continuous efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the invaders, aiming to pressure Russia into ending its hostilities against Ukraine.

The extent and consequences of each attack are under further investigation and confirmation.
