Zelensky Visits Dobropillia Sector and Meets with Azov Fighters: A Key Step in Strengthening Ukraine’s Defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally visited the critical frontline sector to assess the situation and support Ukrainian defenders.
This time, he traveled to the Dobropillia area, where he met with soldiers from the Azov regiment, an elite unit playing a vital role in the defensive operations in this sector.
According to official sources, Zelensky held discussions with military officials, including the commander of the 1st National Guard Corps, Oleksandr Syrskyi; the regiment’s commander, Denys Prokopenko; and the commander of the Air Assault Forces, Oleg Apostol.
The meetings focused on the current state of affairs on the front, strategies for further eliminating the enemy’s breakthrough in Dobropillia, combating enemy groups, strengthening the flanks around Pokrovsk and Myrnograd, as well as logistical support for Ukrainian troops.
The military reported that the enemy continues attempts to regain positions in the Dobropillia region.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their service and awarded them state honors for bravery.
The visit also highlighted efforts to secure the release of Ukrainian captives held by Russia, emphasizing the importance of ongoing diplomatic and military efforts to bring them home.
