Ukrainian Special Forces Target Strategic Russian Oil Infrastructure Facilities
On the night of November 4, Ukrainian special forces launched missile strikes on two critical oil refining infrastructure sites in Russia — strategic targets of immense importance for the country’s economy and defense industry.
According to the official statement from the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF), they successfully hit the Sterlitamak Oil Refinery in the Republic of Bashkortostan, located over 1300 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.
This refinery is a major producer of components for aviation kerosene, rubbers, and ionol, and holds a pivotal role in supporting Russia’s defense manufacturing and revenue.
Local authorities confirmed powerful explosions and destruction at the plant site.
Additionally, in coordinated efforts with Ukrainian intelligence, the SOF targeted one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, the Nizhny Novgorod Oil Processing Plant, which is critically important for Russia’s energy stability.
