Chas Pravdy - 04 November 2025 20:34

Thanks to the persistent efforts of Ukrainian authorities, another eight children and teenagers have been rescued from temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.

According to Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, each story reflects a personal struggle for life and freedom.

Among those saved is an 11-year-old boy who spent over four years hiding to avoid detection and deportation, refusing to attend a Russian school.

Additionally, an 18-year-old was rescued after being threatened with deportation and conscription by collaborators if he did not register for military service.

A young teenage couple, aged 17 and 15, respectively, who faced constant humiliation at school for speaking Ukrainian and whose parents were fined for alleged disobedience, was also liberated.

Furthermore, Ukrainian officials reported saving a 21-year-old man who had endured torture by occupiers during a search, with threats of violence directed at his family.

Thanks to these efforts, all children are now safe.

They receive necessary medical and psychological support, are in the process of restoring documents, and gradually reintegrate into peaceful life, seeking to rebuild their childhoods and future after enduring the horrors of occupation.
