Deep Operation by Ukrainian GUR: Destroying a Russian Command Post in Avdiivka Using a Drone
Last week, Ukrainian intelligence agencies conducted a large-scale and highly technical operation aimed at destroying a key Russian command point in the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), the target was a ‘Rubikon’ unit headquarters specialized in utilizing unmanned aerial systems for military purposes.
Sources reveal that the location was identified in a semi-destroyed building situated within the occupied part of Avdiivka.
This was made possible through precise reconnaissance data collection and real-time adjustments to the operation.The ‘Rubikon’ unit is recognized as one of the most capable structures within Russian occupation forces, playing a crucial role in the use of UAVs for combat actions and conducting genocidal warfare against Ukraine.
Ukrainian special operatives employed an FP-2 UAV equipped with a warhead weighing over 105 kilograms.Following the coordinates obtained from intelligence data, an accurate strike targeted the Russian command center located in a heavily damaged building.
As a result, several officers and drone operators present at the site were eliminated.
This high-precision attack significantly undermines the Russian forces’ ability to plan and manage military operations in the region.
Ukrainian defenders displayed exceptional skill and technological prowess, leveraging modern tools to achieve strategic objectives, indicating an increase in combat readiness and a loss of position for Russian occupation forces.
