In the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, the situation is becoming increasingly tense amidst the growing Russian military presence.
According to analytics platform DeepState, enemy forces continue to strengthen their positions, establishing new observation points, accumulating personnel, and organizing logistics for further advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
Ukrainian defenders are engaged in continuous battles, notably utilizing drones for reconnaissance and precise strikes against enemy positions across various parts of the city.
Meanwhile, false information about a ‘mass surrender of Ukrainian troops in the Pokrovsk area’ is circulating on Telegram and TikTok, requiring verification and refutation.
Russian forces are also attempting to gain control over an important intercity route between Pokrovsk and Hryhynne, aiming to eliminate Ukrainian military groups in the area and secure logistical lines.
DeepState experts emphasize that the main strategy for Ukrainian forces remains blocking enemy advancement on the southern outskirts of the city, but the active Russian fortifications make this increasingly difficult.
Furthermore, the situation around Mirognad is also critical — the city is under intense shelling, complicating any attempts at defense, and its capture by the Russians could deal a serious strategic blow to Ukrainian defenses.
Currently, the road to Pokrovsk is virtually closed — it is under constant fire, making any attempt to enter the city extremely risky.
An officer from one of the Ukrainian units, known by call sign ‘Gera,’ jokingly noted that those who manage to get into the city deserve a ‘Courage’ order, considering it a true act of bravery.
