Tense Night in Mykolaiv and Dnipro: New Attacks by Occupants and Regional Consequences
From Saturday night to Sunday, November 3rd, the Ukrainian cities of Mykolaiv and Dnipro experienced significant missile and drone attacks carried out by Russian occupation forces.
According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, UAVs of the Shahed type caused extensive damage to the region’s energy infrastructure.
As a result of the attack, 12 settlements were left without electricity, but power was restored to all of them by morning.
Mykolaiv also suffered from drone strikes that ignited a fire in an economic supermarket, quickly contained.
The city’s infrastructure, including repair station buildings, two vehicles, and windows in multi-story buildings, was damaged.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevich stated that there were no casualties and all necessary services are working on mitigation and inspection of residential buildings.
Similarly, in the early hours of Sunday, Dnipro was targeted again.
Acting head of Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Vladyslav Hayvanenko, said that the enemy launched missile strikes on the city.
The attack resulted in a fire at an enterprise, which was promptly extinguished, and a 37-year-old man was injured; he will receive treatment at home.
Authorities are actively working to eliminate the consequences of the attack, including inspecting residential buildings.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian defense forces shot down two UAVs over Dnipropetrovsk region and repelled several missile and drone attacks in the Nikopol district, indicating ongoing efforts to defend the territory against Russian aggression.
