Russian Provocations in Pokrovsk: Preparing to Destabilize and Discredit Ukrainian Forces
In the city of Pokrovsk, located in the Donetsk region and currently at the epicenter of intense fighting, Russian occupation forces are reportedly preparing a series of complex provocations.
Military analyst Dmytro Sniehiriev stated that the primary goal of these actions is to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the expert, the occupiers plan to carry out multiple incidents disguised as special operations to mislead Ukrainian and international observers.
The first provocation involves firing at local residents under the guise of special operations involving special forces units, while the second targets potential media deployment sites with the intention of blaming Ukraine for obstructing journalists’ work.
The analyst emphasizes that these developments could be exploited to generate additional informational pretexts for Russia and justify further escalation of the conflict.
