Ukrainian drones strike Russian oil terminal in Tuapse: new blows in a complex geopolitical conflict
On the night of November 2nd, Ukrainian security forces carried out a daring operation against Russian aggression.
According to sources within the Security Service of Ukraine, a group of unmanned aerial vehicles targeted an important oil terminal in the port of Tuapse, located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
The attack struck critical infrastructure, including the oil terminal itself, with at least five hits confirmed.
As a result, several buildings were damaged, and four oil transfer pipes—known as stenders—were hit, causing a fire on a tanker.
This escalation emphasizes the ongoing military activity of Ukraine’s forces in striking Russian logistics and infrastructure in the region.
Russian authorities confirmed damage to the tanker and oil terminal in Tuapse, which belongs to the ‘Rosneft’ company.
The attack is likely to impact Russia’s oil transportation network significantly, complicating supply chains amid the ongoing conflict.
Additionally, there were reports of attacks on power substations within Russia, which supply both military and civilian facilities, indicating a comprehensive offensive strategy by Ukraine.
These actions demonstrate Ukraine’s continued efforts to weaken Russian logistical capabilities and increase pressure on the aggressor, ultimately contributing to the resilience of Ukraine’s defensive operations in this prolonged geopolitical conflict.
