Major consequences of air strike on Zaporizhzhia: nearly 60,000 consumers disconnected and civilians injured
Following another air attack by Russian forces on the city of Zaporizhzhia, serious infrastructure damage and civilian casualties have been reported.
According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, over 58,000 subscribers are without electricity, and two residents have been injured— a 44-year-old woman and a 91-year-old man.
Medical teams promptly provided necessary assistance, and their conditions are currently being assessed.
Head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov stated that energy workers have already started repair works and intend to restore power as soon as the security situation allows.
Meanwhile, utility services are actively working at the site to minimize damage and ensure residents receive support.
The statement emphasizes that specialists are doing everything possible to restore the power grid quickly.
It is also noted that earlier on November 2, explosions were heard in the Odesa region, where drones attacked the southern part of the region, indicating an escalation in the southeastern direction of Ukraine.
