Chas Pravdy - 01 November 2025 11:26

In the early hours of Saturday, November 1st, the Russian military launched a missile attack on a critical infrastructure facility in the Mиколаївська community of Sumy region, leading to widespread damage and partial power outages in several settlements.

Energy workers immediately began emergency repair operations to restore electricity, according to Sergiy Pas’ko, head of the Mиколаївська settlement community.

Law enforcement reports indicate that the strikes affected areas including Okhtyrka, Sumy, Khotyn, and Shostka districts.

As a result of these attacks, six private houses, gas pipelines, and farm structures in the city center were damaged.

In the Shostka district, enemy forces destroyed three residential buildings, an administrative forestry office, a vehicle, and garages.

The Ohtyrka district suffered road surface damage.

Additionally, around Velikopysarivka, a drone attack injured a 56-year-old local resident.

A few days earlier, the enemy hit a microbus on the Sumy-Bilopilly highway, resulting in the death of a 69-year-old man and injuries to 12 others.

Experts warn about the increasing threat posed by drone attacks near populated areas, which significantly worsens the security situation in the region.
