Russian Drone Attack: Over 200 UAVs Intercepted by Ukrainian Air Defense
On the night of November 1st, Russian forces launched a large-scale air assault on Ukrainian territory, deploying over two hundred drones of various types.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy used a total of 223 attack UAVs, primarily Shahed and Heron models, along with other drone types.
The attack began around 6:30 PM on October 31st and continued into the early hours of the next day, targeting areas from Kursk, Millërovo, Bryansk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtersk in Russia, as well as Gvardeyskoe in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Of the total drones launched, approximately 140 were classified as ‘kamikaze’ or ‘Shahids.’ The scope of this assault was shared via Telegram by the Ukrainian Air Forces.
Ukrainian defenses responded with military aircraft, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, and drone interception systems, alongside mobile fire groups.
As of 9:30 AM on November 1st, Ukrainian air defense had successfully shot down or suppressed 206 enemy UAVs of various types.
Seventeen UAVs struck at seven different locations, demonstrating the enemy’s high activity level and Ukraine’s resilient defense efforts.
