Russia Implements New Sanctions Against Ukrainian Officials and EU Representatives
In response to recent developments and political actions by the Ukrainian government, Russia has announced a new package of economic sanctions targeting several high-ranking Ukrainian officials.
The corresponding decree from the Russian government was published on the official legal information portal.
According to the document, the list of sanctions includes Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydko, Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, Defense Ministry adviser Oleksandr Kubrakov, and Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev.
Additionally, the Russian Foreign Ministry has imposed sanctions on representatives of European institutions, EU member countries, and several other European nations in retaliation for the European Union’s 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
These individuals have been added to the visa blacklist.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a new package of sanctions against over 50 individuals accused of involvement in the war against Ukraine, working within the military-industrial complex, or spreading pro-Russian propaganda.
These measures aim to strengthen Ukraine’s internal defense capabilities and garner international support for Ukrainian sovereignty.
