Zelensky announces new sanctions against Russia and reveals secrets about kidnapped children
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his evening address on October 31st, announced a comprehensive new sanctions package targeting over 50 Russians involved in the war against Ukraine, as well as activities related to the military-industrial complex and propaganda efforts.
He emphasized that this sanctions list includes individuals working for military purposes and stated that Ukraine will share it with international partners to intensify pressure on Russia.
Meanwhile, the government is actively working on harmonizing Ukrainian sanctions with the European Union’s packages, with proposals already sent for the 20th package being prepared in Brussels.
Zelensky highlighted that within the framework of year-end planning, Ukrainian special agencies and military forces have identified priorities for sanctions policy, focusing on the Russian tanker fleet, energy companies, and enterprises supporting Russia’s military industry.
Additionally, the president expressed gratitude to Ukrainian soldiers and intelligence services for successful strikes on enemy fuel infrastructure—over 160 hits so far this year—and hundreds of other operations targeting military equipment and logistics.
Notably, Zelensky revealed that Ukraine’s intelligence has prepared a list of over 300 kidnapped children, with their names, surnames, and addresses, to be handed over to international partners to assist in their return.
He also spoke about the ongoing situation on the frontline, commending units for holding their positions and destroying the enemy.
At the end, Zelensky announced several upcoming foreign policy meetings focused on weapons, finances, and further integration with the EU.
The president assured the nation that work continues towards positive news for Ukraine, thanking everyone supporting and fighting for our independence.
