Russian propaganda infiltrates children’s upbringing in occupied Donetsk regions

In the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Russian aggressors have intensified efforts to shape the ideological dependence of the younger generation through the systematic implementation of a church-military ‘concept’ of education.

In the city of Snizhne, part of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, a large-scale seminar titled ‘Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture in School: Given and Prescribed’ took place.

The event was organized by the so-called ‘Ministry of Education’ of the Donetsk People’s Republic in close cooperation with the Donetsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

This event was reported by the National Resistance Center.

During the seminar, educators, methodologists, and clergy discussed issues concerning ‘spiritual upbringing’ and ‘patriotism through faith,’ effectively promoting the ideas of the ‘Russian World’ and creating an educational platform for propaganda.

Sources indicate that many of the speeches were prepared in advance in Donetsk to avoid pro-Ukrainian statements.

This is just one example of how Russia allocates billions of rubles to brainwashing young minds on occupied Ukrainian territories.

The Center for National Resistance warns that a hybrid system of ‘church-military education’ is forming in the region, where clergy are effectively serving as political enforcers, and religious lessons serve as tools for propaganda and mind control.

Earlier reports indicated that Russian authorities in Luhansk announced the preparation of a so-called ‘Youth Stakhanov Movement,’ which essentially aims to force students of pseudo-universities to work on industrial facilities, reminiscent of Soviet-era repression, poverty, and devaluation of individual identity.
