Intense Battles and Ukrainian Defenders’ Efforts on the Eastern Front
The past day has seen continued intense military activity across eastern Ukraine, with numerous clashes on key strategic directions.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on October 30, there were 132 combat engagements directly on the front lines, highlighting the high level of ongoing conflict.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 48 assault attempts by enemy forces on the Pokrovsk direction, targeting areas such as Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Novotoretske, and Rodynske.
Meanwhile, the Russian aggressors employed a variety of weapons, launching three missile strikes and conducting 88 air attacks.
They dropped 168 guided bombs and fired 66 missiles, while also launching nearly 4,700 artillery and rocket fire rounds, including 6725 kamikaze drone attacks, posing a serious threat to Ukrainian positions.
In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck seven enemy concentration areas where personnel, weapons, and equipment were amassed.
The most intense battles of the day occurred on the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces managed to counter 48 assault attempts in populated areas such as Shakhove, Novomykolaivka, and Filia.
Elsewhere, fierce fighting continued on other frontline sectors: two clashes took place on the Pivnichno-Slobozhanske and Kurske directions, where the enemy launched ten airstrikes, dropped 22 guided bombs, and carried out over 200 artillery and rocket attacks, including 11 using rocket launcher systems.
In the southern sectors, the enemy twice attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Fiholivka and Kolodiazne, while on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled 13 attacks in the areas of Kupyansk, Stepove, and Pishchane.
Further escalation was noted on the Lyman and Sloviansk sectors, where enemy efforts aimed to breach Ukrainian defenses near Shandrigolovo, Novovodyane, and Zarychne.
The most fierce clashes occurred in areas such as Yampol, Serebrianka, Vyiamka, and other frontline communities.
Overall, Ukrainian military forces continue their fierce resistance and fight to preserve every inch of Ukrainian territory, demonstrating resilience amidst ongoing hostilities.
