Shooting at Poltava Military Recruitment Center: Two Soldiers Wounded During Attack
A alarming incident occurred in the Poltava region, specifically in the city of Kremenchuk, where gunfire broke out at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center.
The event took place in the evening of October 30th, when law enforcement reported that an unidentified individual armed with a pistol opened fire on military personnel escorting a conscript to the assembly point.
As a result, two servicemen were injured and promptly taken to hospital.
The attacker, during document processing and responding to police inquiries about prohibited items, suddenly drew a weapon and started shooting.
Authorities quickly detained the perpetrator.
This incident follows previous attacks in the region, including a drone strike in July that destroyed a building of the Kremenchuk district TCCC without casualties, and a missile attack on the same center in July that resulted in three fatalities and 58 wounded, illustrating ongoing threats amid Russia’s war against Ukraine.
