Polish fighter jets scrambled amid Russian missile strikes on Ukraine

Chas Pravdy - 30 October 2025 07:28

On the night of October 30th, Polish airspace sounded the alarm as Russia launched a massive missile attack across Ukrainian territories.

In response, Polish Aviation immediately scrambled fighter jets and early warning aircraft to monitor and secure the airspace, which became increasingly volatile.

According to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, the escalation prompted the deployment of several fighter pairs and radar systems to heightened alert status.

Ground-based air defense units also switched to increased readiness, signaling a preventive and protective stance aimed at safeguarding Poland’s air borders, particularly in regions neighboring the conflict zones.

Polish military officials emphasized that all forces remain on high alert, prepared for immediate response should the situation deteriorate further.

The events followed a nationwide air raid alert across Ukraine, where all regions were warned about potential missile and drone attacks, especially in western areas such as Ivano-Frankivsk, which reported explosions and increased military activity.

Regions like Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk faced heightened threat levels, with air defense systems actively engaged in protecting civilian and strategic targets.
