Former «Ukrenergo» Chairman Volodymyr Kudrytskyi Released from Detention After Bail Payment

Chas Pravdy - 30 October 2025 21:51

Former Chairman of the Ukrainian energy company «Ukrenergo», Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, has officially been released from the temporary detention center (SIZO) shortly after bail was posted on his behalf.

This development occurred just hours ago, according to his lawyer, Mykola Hrabik.

The lawyer stated that Kudrytskyi was released at 17:45 and is now considered to be the individual who paid the bail.

Kudrytskyi’s family greeted him at the gates of the detention facility.

Regarding the person who posted the bail, the lawyer refused to disclose their identity, citing lack of authority, but emphasized that it is a legal entity, not an individual, and it has no connection to Volodymyr Dmytrovych.

It is noteworthy that a few hours prior, bail of 13.7 million hryvnias was also paid for him.

He faces charges of large-scale fraud and is required to surrender his foreign passports, wear an electronic bracelet, and adhere to other court-mandated conditions.

Several deputies, including Maksym Khlypuk, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, and Inna Sovsun, had offered to vouch for him.

Last week, investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) conducted a search at Kudrytskyi’s residence, and on October 28, he was formally accused of conspiracy with businessman Igor Hrinkevych regarding embezzlement of «Ukrenergo» funds.
