Who May Be Mobilized in Ukraine This November: An In-Depth Overview of Current Regulations

Chas Pravdy - 29 October 2025 04:25

Ukraine continues to operate under a state of martial law and a nationwide mobilization effort affecting a significant number of male citizens aged from 18 to 60.

According to Ukrainian media outlets, such as UNIAN, no major changes are expected in the mobilization process during the last month of autumn.

The mobilization will proceed as before, in accordance with the Law on Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization.

The Verkhovna Rada has extended the martial law until February 3, 2026, ensuring that mobilization activities remain ongoing for the foreseeable future.Conscription primarily targets specific categories of Ukrainian men.

The main group includes males aged 25 to 60 with no military experience, provided their health allows and they have no deferments or reservations.

Additionally, reserve soldiers aged 18 to 60 with military experience—such as former conscripts, reserve officers, or those who served during conscription—are also subject to mobilization.

Those previously discharged due to health reasons, but later deemed fit after medical examination, may also be conscripted.

Even individuals with a status of ‘limited fitness’ could be drafted if a subsequent medical commission confirms their suitability.

If there are questions or complaints regarding mobilization procedures or TЦК actions, individuals can seek redress through appropriate channels to defend their rights.
