Ukrainian soldiers shoot down Russian drone while protecting journalists during combat in Kostiantynivka
Amid intense fighting in the city of Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian defenders demonstrated their quick response and bravery by shooting down a Russian FPV drone attempting to attack a foreign filming crew covering the destruction of the Holy Assumption Church caused by enemy shelling.
According to Oleg Petrasyuk, a communication officer of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, the incident occurred while accompanying a journalist from the Dutch publication Het Nederlands Dagblad.
The reporter was documenting the damage inflicted by artillery strikes when an enemy drone suddenly approached the crew.
Oleg Petrasyuk quickly spotted the hostile device and fired his automatic weapon, successfully hitting the drone and saving the lives of journalists and soldiers nearby.
