North Korea conducts missile tests ahead of Trump’s visit to South Korea

President Donald Trump’s scheduled visit to South Korea, regional tensions escalated as North Korea conducted a series of military tests.
According to official reports from the North Korean state news agency KCNA, on October 28, Pyongyang launched strategic cruise missiles of the ‘sea-ground’ type.
The missiles, launched from ships, flew over the Yellow Sea for approximately 7800 seconds, successfully hitting designated targets along a predetermined trajectory.
These tests sent a clear signal of military activity amid the impending diplomatic engagements.
Earlier, on October 22, North Korea announced the launch of several short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un emphasized the country’s readiness to enhance its military capabilities as a response to increasing U.S.
military presence and joint military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea.
These actions reflect the persistent state of tension on the Korean Peninsula, highlighting the importance of diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the region.
