Zelensky Addresses Ukraine’s Missile Defense Challenges
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky candidly acknowledged that the country faced significant difficulties in securing missile interceptors for air defense systems.
During a recent press conference, he explained that these issues did not stem from external blockades or sanctions but were primarily due to internal resource shortages and high consumption levels within the military.
Zelensky reassured that the situation is now under control, and Ukraine’s armed forces are receiving everything needed for effective protection.
He emphasized that despite previous hardships, Ukraine has the capacity to increase its air defense capabilities and shoot down more targets in the sky.
‘Resources are sufficient, and air defense will operate with renewed strength,’ he assured.
‘We are preparing more interceptors, which will enable us to better counter any attacks,’ the president stated.
